I forgot babies grow out of their cloths so fast.

I am having a little trouble getting rid of the 0-3 month clothes. There is no kid to save for. There are so many of them. I still have a few dresses hanging up that I can not bring myself to pass on. Luckily, as I am finally get out the next sizes I find that my favorite onesies are repeated in some clothes given to us by Josh's friend Lindsey from work. Hooray!

Here are a couple pictures of the kids. The boys are all very much involved with Amber. They have each taken a turn to learn how to change her diaper and they were all a big help when Josh had a hard time getting her to take a bottle while I was gone. AMber is lucky to have a great bunch of boys to look out for her and care for her. It will be interesting to see what kind of protectors they will be in 15 years. I love the boy's smiles, so genuine.

AMBER Cinderella Snow White Berndt

This is day two of six to celabrate 6 months of our little princess.

For the whole pregnancy Devin really really wanted to name her Cinderella. It was really cute and we would make him repeat it for kicks to people. One day he exclaimed in a stern voice "I am serious I want to name her Cinderella and her middle name Snow White". He asked me one day "If we named her Cinderella does she have to live in the castle at Disneyland". When Devin first saw her he said "I love her. It's OK if we name her Amber Michelle...I just love her". Devin shares a room with her and has a very special bond with her.

We found him one day having Amber fight stuffed animals in her crib. "Bam Bam Bam knockout ..TKO Amber's the winner". Devin is still thrilled with dressing her and picking out bows. He even got upset with me when I wouldn't let him pick her cloths. You can see here he was going a little over bored with the bows.

Amber was blessed on Trey's baptism day. We were lucky to have nearly all family in town and were excited for two very special occasions to be happening together. Thank you to everyone for all your love and support.

AMBER: Cutest thing ever!

So my friend has rightfully pointed out where is little Amber in these new post. So true I had the exact same thought. She will be 6 months old in 6 days (Oct 21st today). I thought I would count down the days with a week of Amber... So here is the start of her story these last six months +.

Six months proceeding Amber, Josh and I discuss....."Should we have a baby, should we not, yeah, nay, yes, no....ok no. I mean yes, cause I am pregnant!" We took the boys to dinner to tell them the happy news. We asked them not to tell anyone right away, our little family secret. Trey drew the following picture the next day. When his class mate asked if that was a baby. He said it was a doll. We used the picture to break the news to the families. Hey if a 2nd grader can pick out the baby on mom's stomach my family will get it...at least Angela will. Some family members had a more difficult time with it then others. Can you see what is writen on the babies tummy?

At the hospital, as Amber was waiting to enter this world her heart rate dropped but stayed steady. I could tell the nurse was very nervous about it. She called it a low baseline heart rate. I wondered if I should be worried. I said maybe she is just chilling out as long as she can. So our little chilled out baby made her entrance into the world at 6 lbs 13 oz with no problems.

Finally get to put a bow in someones hair. The nurses at the hospital were so kind to get me started.

Devin was a huge fan on picking out what cloths and what bow she was going to wear for the day.

The boys adored her and I have been waiting 9 years to put someone in this cute red Hawaiian dress.

Let the cuteness begin......

Berndt Biker Gang

Devin ditched his training wheels this week and was riding around in 5 minutes. Next day Devin is standing up on his bike pedaling and jumping the curbs. He has already taken a spin on the blue motorcycle as well.

Josh took the boys out to the desert to do some riding. Last week they had Father and Sons camp-out. We have some VERY dirty socks.

This red mini is the newest toy. It was either pay the HOA for a couple of past months or this. I guess the HOA is out of luck.

Our true blue electric that has been a blast from the day Santa dropped it off nearly three years ago. Thanks Santa :)

Summer has Ended

Well the Summer is gone and the kids are back in school. Trey is having a hard time adjusting to life as a First grader but each week gets better. James is having a good time in 3rd grade and Devin is having a blast in preschool. The kid threw a fit the other day because he wanted to go so bad. Life is moving right along. We are looking for a house and are getting closer to the end. Enjoy some pictures of the Berndt's summer fun.

I suppose I fell off the blogging bandwagon again. Sorry. Lets see what photos I can share.

December 08 - We became a Mini Van family. The boys love it and so do I. What did we ever do without DVD players.

January 09 - James gets baptized. What a great day! He is sitting here with his Great Grandma Nola.

Febuary 09 - Ashlyn, Emily, and Macy tearing it up with the cousins on James's Motorcycle (present from Santa).

March 09 - Thank heaven for Devin turning 3 or else we would have no pictures. He requested a Yoshi bowling cake. Ask and ye shall receive.

April 09 - Devin is a Sushi fanatic. He is no longer satisfied to share my sushi. He now insists "I want my own sushi". He can finish a whole roll.

May 09 - James is a goof and Trey is an Awesome Soccer Player.

He didn't want to where the gloves I made him to school because he said he wanted to listen to his teacher and not bring weapons to school. I tried to convince him they were flight stabilizers but he wasn't buying it. Devin was a great Mater.

My Lefties

So I got a book from the library on understanding your lefty child. James and Trey are both lefties. The odds of two righties (that would be Josh and I) producing one left is about 1 in 9.5. I think the odds of us having two are between 1 in 350,000 and 1 in 3,500,000. I remember when James was showing signs of being a lefty I was a little worried. There are just so many things that Lefties have to deal with. Josh on the other hand was thrilled. "He'll make a great baseball player". So I have tried to take Josh's approach and be happy and excited about the things they can be great at and the difference is only an advantage to them and not a disadvantage. So for me I am going to make it my goal to take as many obstacles out of their way as they grow up in a Righty World. Here are just a hand full of things lefties deal with on a daily basis.
Scissors. - Don't be fooled as I was that "Universal" or "Suitable for Left or Right" scissors are OK. They are NOT. I just got Trey some true lefty scissors today and I asked him how he like them. "These are great, I can see the line and everything."
Rulers, serrated knifes, can openers, buttons, cameras, camcorders, pencil sharpeners, indifferent teachers, righty desks, spiral notebooks, IV's in the left hand, just to name a few.
Teachers need to be aware of their lefties and teach lefties the proper way for them to write and position their papers. Where righties pull their writing across a piece of paper, Lefties have to push there writing across the paper. Lefties should tilt there paper to the right to write to prevent awkward hand positions.
Lefties will want to naturally turn things counter-clockwise (unscrewing things as a baby) vs clockwise like most righties. Kool-Aid at our house gets stirred counter-clockwise . Thats what makes is good. Well thats the kick I am on. I got the lefty scissors today and I am going to visit with the teachers soon. I am happy with James' handwriting and I think he is doing OK. He got so frustrated with scissors early on that he now cuts with his right. Something I did not catch soon enough. We got the special Lefty Golf clubs when Trey was showing signs of a golfing fanatic. Different makes them better and I just want to make sure they know that. Advantage Lefties!!

April, May, June, July, August....Yikes

OK, so it has been a while but has it really been 5 months. Wow. I guess I have been busy..or lazy for 5 months straight. Here is a run down.

APRIL-- James is an Army Ant in his school play and the "Terrific Kid" for the month of April.

MAY---Kristi came to Oklahoma and we had a blast. The zoo is always fun. The boys finished school. James is a goof and we are off to Utah for the summer

JUNE--- Kaiti's Wedding. Don't the boys look Cute? Trey's Birthday. Mom and Dad come to town. Boys nearly eaten by a shark. Blake came to town, loved that!!. We hate law school and we decided to move back to Utah....

JULY--- We moved back to Salt Lake.. Left some great friends behind in Oklahoma. Family getting wet at Utah Lake..

AUGUST---Yeah, we are caught up. Now that was not to painful was it. The boys and I headed to Arizona and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Josh and I headed to Lake Powell . Unfortunately the pictures have not made it to this computer so maybe next time. Here are some pictures from Utah Lake today. The boys love the tube (on medium speed). It is great to have them loving the Lake. I also got a surprise from Santa and got to try out an early Christmas present, a pink slalom ski called the Siren. Thanks Santa your the best!!

Trey has found his calling. I have never seen him so excited about something or so happy doing something. The kid is a soccer monster. He is the fastest kid on the team as you can see. James is in soccer also and is having a great time as well. Devin is loving the sidelines cheering them on.

Fatty Loves Cake

OK boys we are on a mission to stop mom from going to the gym. Trey nice start with the cough that sounds horrible but you're not sick. That got you two days off school which kept mom from the gym. Devin following it up with a fever that took care of the rest of the week. Great pass to James who adds on with throwing up. Mom got to the gym on Wednesday. Trey nice job picking up the fever and heaves in time to end the week strong. Lets open this third week with a bang. James the fever and body aches again started the week strong. Be careful though, the trip to the doctor and medication to follow could put a damper on the week. Mom's feeling a little down. Que Dad with the flowers. OK she's felling better and so is James. Could this be it.....? Trey nice save with the fever coming home from school. Careful of the medication boys and we can finish out three full weeks. Keep the pajamas on all day and the video games rolling. We need a slam dunk to end it out. Quick some one start coughing on Mom.

We had my Mom, Beth, Zane, and Lexi here for a weekend plus. It was a great time and we packed a lot of fun in a little time.

Valentines Day was a great time. 2 Grandma packages in one day sent the boys into a frenzy.
Devin has been sick this week with a cold/fever something or other and he has taken all the energy missed and packed it into one very long Saturday. My week is done.

Just when this blog stuff got fun and cool I sit on my arss and think to myself ....uh I don't know. Well we have had some adventures. Let me recap.. Ice storm's are fun..not. Moving during ice storm is stupid. Moving and then packing for a two week vacation is insane. Driving 19 hours for said vacation (with winter storm attached) is difficult. Recovering from 19 hour drive takes two weeks. Having an husband that gets me home in one day (15+hours) is awesome. Unpacking from a vacation and a move...not done. Our stay in Arizona for Christmas was great. Family Friends Family is the recipe for a love sandwich. We truly appreciate everyone that took time to see us and be with us. Thank you.. We love you. Well life is off and running again. Josh is back to the studies and I am off doing taxes a couple nights a week. Taxes are fun hooray!! The boys are still in their old school so it is taking me 15+ minutes to drive them to school everyday...then 15 min. back home... then 15 min. back to pick up Trey... then 15 minutes back home ..nap for Devin then 15 min. to pick up James..15 minutes back home and there is my day. I have decided to save some money on gas and spend it on a gym membership while Trey is in school so it does cut down my driving a bit. I couldn't get Trey into school down by our new house...don't judge me. Well I couldn't find a picture of all the boys together so here is a smattering of the boys over the Holidays.

The Spider Cake was a the winning desert in our wards Halloween Party. I did have a pretty good Sponge Bob Square Pants and Patrick Star Cake that I some how didn't take a picture of. I feel I am leaving the other kids out. Hmm. Well lets see. James got a 100% on his first Spelling test and bunch of bonus questions. Other moms helping in Trey's class love him to death. OK enough about the other kids. The real nightmare right now is Devin. Yes, Devin. Can you believe it? Our perfect baby has snapped. He has turned into a holy terror when it is nap time or bed time. What happened you say? I don't know! He takes a bottle and says good night one day and then is refusing a bottle and screaming for three hours the next. Yes that bad! The only way he has had a nap the past week is if he crashed in the car, and the only way he has fallen asleep the past week is if he lays down with me in the TV room or I sit in his room till he falls asleep. Ugh! I tried the Supernanny thing by moving closer and closer to the door. It worked once or twice but I don't think he really realized I had left the room. What happened to him? Did he have a nightmare that scared him really bad? Was a new tooth the culprit? Was I to blame for letting him fall asleep in the living room twice(just twice I swear)? One thing is for sure. He is way to stubborn to go back to the way things were. I am having a hard time transitioning. I have not gotten anything done. Even when he is laying down crying you would think I could get something done, but just when you think you haven't heard him.....maybe he is asleep... has the cycle been broken... is there relief.....Whaaaa. Nope. Hmmm now what are the other kids doing. James has three teeth missing on top and Trey is a lazy dresser. How hard is it for a 4 year old to get dressed? I ask myself.

Sonic vs Cable

So our free cable is being shut off Oct. 15th. What do I do? What do I sacrifice to pay for my cable. Let's see...I spent $65 on Sonic last month. Do I dare make that kind of sacrifice? Do I have that kind of will power. Can I give up the Coke with the vanilla lining? Can I call off the occasional Jalapeño Popper?

NO!!! A thousand times NO!!

I live in the Sonic capitol of the world. I have four within 3 miles. Other expenses are down this must be a sign that the cable bill and the Sonic bill can coexist. I feel much better. I am glad I worked that one out in my head. The Sonic bill might be a little excessive I agree but it is not ALL me. Joshua likes to partake as well. Although I do find I hide the 44oz cups that I have gotten on my own. "Is this a new one?" asks Josh knowingly. " No, thats from yesterday" says I guiltily.

I Love Sushi

I have finally had some sushi since moving to Oklahoma city. The sushi in the mall doesn't count. This was a real eating establishment. Ahh.. I am feeling happy this week already.
